WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CARDINALS' BULLPEN?!

How freaking hard is it to go in with a lead and not give the lead up? Dudes! FOR REALS. Every single farking game this series was ours and the bullpen decided to take the rest of the night off mid-game every time!

I'm starting to agree with Random Pre-Game Show E-Mailer From Memphis, and Al Hrabosky: Maybe we should put Adam Wainwright back in the bullpen when he comes off the DL. I would be willing to bet Dave Duncan is not a happy camper right about now.

In other news, we are slowly but surely getting ready for this kid to show up. Ben's parents brought over a brand-new mattress for the crib and took a load of baby clothes to wash (my mom is taking the rest tomorrow - yes, we really did get that many clothes at the shower and YES, we have special baby-friendly detergent). Ben and his dad got the car seat put in tonight. Now all we have to do is hope she doesn't show up before she's supposed to. The doctor said Monday, dammit, and she is going to stay in there until Monday. Gives me more time to mentally prepare myself.  Hahaha.

Some people on my message board are like, "I got too many clothes!" Bullshite! You can't have too many clothes with babies. Babies spit up and poop a lot, sometimes on their clothes, so having lots of things for the kid to wear is probably good. That's how I look at it, anyway. Maybe I'm a nutball, I don't know. I did get an awful lot of pink stuff, though. And about seven (eight if you count the t-shirt I bought) Cardinals-themed things, including a little hat. This kid is ready for her first game!

I should go to bed or something.

yes.  i can't be around ppl.  & seeing as how ignorant ppl are out there breeding even more, ignorant ppl...you can see my dilemma :)

seriously.  this is a phobia i suffer from.  i can't be around ppl i don't kno.  in college, it got pretty bad: i had to sit with my back to the wall, facing the door, so i could see the door, the teacher, & the other ppl in the class room...that way, if i felt threatened or needed to make a quick escape, i could do so.  even now, i freak out sometimes in Wal-Mart  :(

Doctor again today.  I am sick of the doctor.

I'm still being induced on Monday.  6 am, to be exact.  (My grandma: "6 am... you mean in the morning?" Me: "No, Grandma, 6 am in the afternoon.")  That is really freaking early.  But you know what? Whatever.  Then they threw in technical terms, like I'm dilated 3 cm right now and I'm 80% effaced.  Which means, basically, we're not there yet but we're pretty close.

My grandma wanted to help, and bring me something.  I made her bring me stamps for my thank-you notes.  I almost feel terrible, but stamps are expensive and she has a lot of money that I don't have.
